Do you need an API Q1 certification or an ISO 9001 certification?

API Q1 (& ISO 29001) is the Oil & Gas specific version of ISO 9001. It is often part of API Monogram program to meet the technical requirements identified in the applicable API product specification(s).

For all our marketing efforts, it was sobering, to hear this week, that it has taken 3 months for a Company to find a Consultant capable of assisting them achieve API QI for a project in South Wales. Just to quite clear – this is not to hold a beauty parade of a number of competing Consultants. This was to find a recommended consultant with experience to assisting their organisations achieve API Q1. Incidentally the search had gone from UK to USA via Germany then to UK. Charter 4 are now assisting.
